I thought about getting closer but the goat started to get a gleam in its eye.
That's me, trying to use my rain gear as a sled. Denise is actually standing down the mountain looking up at me. The sled idea didn't work.
Here is Denise catching her breath. She might have given up if that 75 year old woman hadn't passed her on the way up.
The hike was long but at least we did get some good, close pictures of wildlife.
Notice the small specks off in the distance in the snow. Those are people on a 1 1/2 mile hike through the snow to see a lake hidden deep in the park. Yes, we walked it. No, it wasn't worth it. (:-)
This is the lake we hiked 3 miles to see.
